मनजीत गटावर सक्रीय झाल्यापासून गटावरील सगळेच "संगीतप्रेमी" एकदम जागरूक झाले आहेत.उदयच्या रोजच्या अप्रतिम गीतांना इतके दिवस मनातल्या मनात "दाद" देणारे आता चक्क संगीतावर भाष्य करू लागले आहेत.ही आनंदाची गोष्ट आहे.शांतारामने कवितेत म्हटल्याप्रमाणे "दिलकी खिचडी पकाये मंजीत दिलवाला" या खिचडीत "साधू वाणी डाले पानी और मिर्च मसाला" या काव्यपंक्तीप्रमाणे आज "Manjit's Manjinopathy - "तराना" सादर करतो.

"तराना(Tarana)"

1.In addition to the khayal  compositions, a playful composition called tarana may also be presented at the end of a Khayal performance. 2.A tarana is a fast-paced composition that uses wordless syllable clusters like dhim, tana, nom, tadare, tadani, tom, tanom, and so on for lyrics.

3.The syllables are loosely based on the sounds of a mridangam or  pakhavaj (precursors of the tabla). 4.They are strung together in pleasing ways and set to melody following the rules of raga and rhythm.
