माझ्या आयुष्यात "पनवेल-आपटा रेल्वे स्टेशन" ला मनोरंजनाच्या दृष्टीने अनन्य साधारण महत्व आहे. अकरावी,पी.डी.व एफ.वाय.अशा तीन वर्षात बाॅलीवूडच्या डझनावारी चित्रपटांचे तासन् तास चित्रीकरण पहायची संधी मला या रेल्वे मार्गाने मिळवून दिली.असे काय "सोने" लागले आहे या रेल्वे मार्गाला ? वाचा.

1."Apta" is known for his scenic location with one side hill, the other side the road nearby a river and easy road accessibility.

2."Apta" is located on the Panvel-Roha route with curvy track and platforms, ample space for keeping types of equipment, and to park Vanity Vans of Actors.

3.Such a station with fewer crowds is a perfect location for film shooting.Moreever Apta Railway station has been given a halt for few trains and it is a crossing station.It has an additional track which makes it doubly suitable for special trains booked for film shooting.

4.Apta is just a 2 hours journey, about 75 km from the Film City, Mumbai. Thereby, Apta Railway Station has become the most preferred location for film shooting of web series, documentaries, and TV serials.

5.In the financial year 2019-2020, four films were shot at Apta Railway station including “Raat Akeli Hai”, “Mumbai Saga” and “Shubh Mangal Zayada Savdhan” .

5.Apta station is encompassed in-camera, including the most popular films like Dilwale Dulaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Rang de Basanti, Baaghi, Khaki, Shaadi No. 1, Chinatown, and many other box-offices hit films.

6.The highest amount of Rs 22.10 lakhs was earned from Rajnikant starrer ‘Darbaar’ shot at Panvel Station.

7.The blockbuster Film of the Millennium "Sholay" has famous train robbery sequence which was shot on the Mumbai–Pune railway route near Panvel & took more than 7 weeks to complete.

8.The shooting of the song 'Chaiyya Chaiyaa' felched Rs 2.32 crore to Central Railway.A feature film shot at Apta station, near Panvel earns a rent of Rs 29.40 lakh oer day.

9.The famous diagogue “Jaa, Simran, jaa…Jee le apni zindagi” from the film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" is shot at Apta station.

10.I have witnessed love scene (Shammi-Hema-Andaz),love song (Rajesh-Zeenta-Ajnabee),fighting scene(Dharama-Amitabh-Amjad-Sholay)(Shatrughna-Jagu Shetty-Kalicharan),marriage party scene(Sanjeevkumar,Lilly Chakravatty, Yogia Bali,Ramesh Deo, Rajendranath-Dhoop Chav)etc.on Panvel station.

11.Salman Khan has built a farmhouse at Panvel(Arpita Farms) where a song from

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is shot.

12.Apta has been the filming location for various train station scenes in Hindi films.I have witnessed shooting of Jiteendra (Parichay), Dharmendra(Loafer), Sanjeevkumar(Dhoop Chaav),Rajesh Khanna (Ajanabee),Abhitab,Dharmendra & Amjad (Sholay),Shatrughna((Kalicharan) etc.

13.The famous train robbery scene in Sholay was shot on the Mumbai Pune railway route near Panvel.The train robbery sequence, shot on the Bombay–Poona railway route near  Panvel, took more than 7 weeks to complete.

14.In the financial year 2019-20, four films were shot at Apta Railway station, including Raat Akeli Hai, Mumbai Saga, and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
