माझ्या "भारतीय रागदारी" या लेखमालेला प्रतिसाद देणार्‍या सर्वांना मन:पूर्वक धन्यवाद ! तीर्थरूपांच्या सततच्या बदल्यांमुळे माझी "संगीत साधना" थांबली.त्यामुळे आरतीने सांगीतल्याप्रमाणे भातखंडे गुरूजींकडून संगीताचे विशेष ज्ञान प्राप्त करू शकलो नाही.त्यामुळे माझे शिक्षक जसे बासरीवर बोटे फिरवायचे तशीच बोटे फिरवित गेलो.जो स्वर कानाला चांगला वाटला तो पुन्हा पुन्हा वाजवू लागलो.एवढेच माझे ज्ञान ! आता मात्र त्याचा "वैद्यकीय अभ्यास" सुरू केला आहे. त्याला Dopamine,Serotonin, Oxytocin असे नानाविध Neurotransmitter जबाबदार असतात असे आत्ताशी लक्षात येऊ लागले आहे.वेळ आली की सांगेन.सध्या

केवळ "कानसेन" होण्यासाठी प्रयत्नशील आहे. त्यातून काय गवसले ? ते ऐका.आरतीने सुचवलेली

"Bhatkhande Notation System" वाचली.काय सांगते ? वाचा.

1The natural variant is sung first followed by the flat or sharp variant.

2.The notes sa and pa are not modified because they have only one variant each.

3.To notate the 12 pitches the first letter of the note name plus upper or lower case to denote the higher or lower pitched variants respectively is used.

e.g. S(1), r(♭2), R(2), g(♭3), G(3), m(4), M(#4), P(5), d(♭6), D(6), n(♭7), and N(7).

4.In Hindustani classical music, the notes have unique and unchangeable identities in relation to sa.So, unlike in Western music, where D♭ can also be C#, and E♭ can also be D#, etc., in Hindustani classical music, the pitch following S(1) is always r(♭2), never #1, and the pitch following R(2) is always g(♭3), never (#2), and so on.

5.The full names of seven notes (swara) are shadja, rishabha, gandhara, madhyama, panchama, dhaivata, and nishada.

6."Sargam" is an acronym created by combining the first four syllables (sa re ga ma).

7.Singing in "sargam" is not just for voice training in Indian classical music – it is also used as part of musical performance, as one of the tools for improvisation.
