सका/शक/Scythian संस्कृती

मध्य आशियातून भारतात स्थलांतरित झालेल्या लाड सका(शाखीय) वाणी समाजाच्या "सका/शक/Scythian" वंशाच्या पूर्वजांची ओळख समस्त जगाला व्हावी या उद्देशाने Irma Marx या लेखकाने "The Scythians" या नावाची एक पुस्तिका प्रकाशित केली आहे.सका/शक/Scythian" लोकांचा मोठा अभ्यास जगभर चालू आहे.रोज नवनवीन माहितीवर प्रकाश पडत आहे.त्यावर समस्त लाड सका (शाखीय) वाणी समाज बांधवांचे लक्ष असले पाहिजे.

मध्य आशियातील सायबेरिया प्रांतात, अल्ताई पर्वत रांगांमधे रहाणार्‍या, इराणी मूळ असलेल्या या "सका/शक/Scythian" टोळ्यांना "Kindred Scythians/ Eastern Scythians) म्हणून ओळखले जाते. हेच महाराष्ट्रातील लाड सका/शाखीय वाणी समाज बांधवांचे पूर्वज आहेत.(संदर्भ - Herodotus)

इराणी मूळ असलेल्या या भटक्या जमातीचे लोक इ.स.पूर्व दुसर्‍या शतकापासून ते पार इ.स.च्या चवथ्या शतकापर्यंत टप्प्याटप्प्याने सायबेरिया प्रांतातून Sogdiana, Bactria, Arachosia, Gandhara, Sindh, Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra या क्रमाने उत्तर व पश्चिम भारतात स्थलांतरित झाल्या व "भारतीय शक/Indo-Scythians" म्हणून ओळखल्या जाऊ लागल्या.

१.National Health Academy names Early-Middle Bronze Age people(Scythians) from ancient Bactria(steppes of south-central Asia east of the Caspian Sea and west of the Hindu Kush - today Turkmenistan, northern Afghanistan, etc.) as "Aryans".

२.Around 1700 BCE "Aryans". began to migrate into the northern Sindhu(Indus) basin.By Early Vedic times (c. 1500–1200 BCE) their culture and language had come to dominate the entire Indus watershed, south to the confluence of the Indus and Chenab rivers; and east to the northern reaches of the Ganges.It was during this period that their ancient Indo-Aryan language (a branch of the Indo-European family) became the written language we know as Sanskrit, finding its first great expression in the Rigveda. (This foundational document of the Hindu faith is one of the oldest texts in any Indo-European tongue.) By around 600 BCE Sanskrit, as the language of religion and the ruling classes, predominated throughout India north of the Vindhya mountain range. Over the course of this time it gave birth to many vernacular dialects, which evolved in their turn (as do all spoken languages), right down to modern times.

३.Ancient Bactrians probably resembled the Andronovan peoples to the north of them. If so, the Caucasoid phenotype would have figured prominently in their genetic makeup.

४.Skin colour of Indo-Aryans varied from quite pale to fairly dark across the range that we see among modern Indo-Iranian peoples, from the Ganges to the Persian Gulf.

५.There used to be a frankly racist historical account that posited a race of light-skinned, mounted Aryan warriors(Scythians) conquering primitive, dark-skinned Dravidian villagers and making themselves overlords of the Indian subcontinent.This Euro-centric myth still turned up in school books.Modern historical and archaeological research have shown it to have been a just-so story, which never had any basis in fact.

६.Indo-Aryan immigrants of c. 1700 BCE were simple, pastoral nomads, who were able to move into the Punjab with their cattle and horses only after the collapse of the great Indus Valley Civilization.Also known as the Harappan civilization, it had flourished from the Punjab to the Indian Ocean, as far south as Gujarat, for a millennium and a half (c. 3300-1900 BCE). It had a high bronze-age culture, with walled cities, laws, commerce, writing, and all the other features we associate with its contemporaries in Egypt and Mesopotamia. Because the Harappan system of writing has never been deciphered, this great indigenous civilization’s decline and disappearance remains poorly understood. But it is not unreasonable to think that in northern India their lingering culture may have contributed significantly to the new civilization of the Vedic period, including its religion.

७.Paleo-genetics throws light on movements of ancient peoples.
