महापूर आपत्ती ग्रस्त जनकल्याण रक्तपेढी,महाडच्या पुनर्वसनासाठी "BJMC-1973 बॅच" ने केलेल्या भरघोस मदतीबद्दल सर्वांचे मन:पूर्वक आभार !

महापूराची "आपत्ती" संपली.पण आता डेंगीची "विपत्ती" सुरू झाली आहे.महाड शहरात सर्वत्र साठलेले पाणी पाहिले व तेव्हाच शंकेची पाल मनात चुकचुकली होती.

माणसांना "बेघर" करून सोडणार्‍या निसर्गाने "Aedes" बाबांना मात्र मोठाच आसरा व प्रजनन केंद्र प्राप्त करून दिले आहे.पुण्याने पाठविलेल्या मदतीच्या आधारावर जनकल्याण रक्तपेढी,महाडने "उसने अवसान" आणले खरे ! त्यातून थॅलेसेमिया व डायलेसिसवाल्यांची तत्क्षणी

सोय झाली खरी ! पण दुसरा दिवस उजाडला तोच मुळी रक्ताची मागणी करणार्‍या रूग्णांच्या गर्दीने ! मागणी पण कशाची तर "प्लेटलेट्स" ची ! रुग्ण डेंगी" चा ! महाडकरांची पण कमालच ! रक्तदात्यांची झुंडच्या झुंड रक्तपेढीत येऊन उभी ठाकली. हा सूर्य व हा जयद्रथ ! जनकल्याण रक्तपेढी, महाडने कंबर कसली.सर्वांचे रक्तदान करून घेतले. तातडीने जागेवरच "प्लेटलेट्स" तयार केल्या व रूग्णाला "प्लेटलेट्स" च्या सहा युनिटस् देऊन वाचवले देखील !

यात कौतुक करण्यासारखे काही ही नाही हे एकदम मान्य ! पण नाना पाटेकरचा संवाद आठवून माझे डोके मात्र क्षणभर गरगरलेच ! "एक साला मच्छर आदमीको हिजडा बना देता हैं" ! आमच्या सर्वांच्या मेहनतीवर आता महाडमधले वाढलेले डास पाणी फिरवणार का काय ? आम्हाला सर्वांनाच सावध व तयारीत रहावे लागेल.
