Anchovy sauce pus

कोकणात "मांदेली" या नावाने ओळखले जाणारे बोटभर लांबीचे पण अतिशय चविष्ट असे चिंगळे मासे खाऊन आमचा बारा प्रॅक्टिसिंग पॅथाॅलाॅजिस्ट मित्रांचा "मान्सून ट्रिप" चा "मनाली गृप" एकदम खूष झाला होता. हा "मांदेली" मासा म्हणजेच "अमिबिक पस" वाला "Anchovy sauce" वाला "Anchovy" मासा हे तेव्हा लक्षात आले नाही.

Anchovy sauce pus is the odourless brown coloured pus seen in amoebic liver abscess. This is "odourless" because it is not produced by bacteria.It is produced by enzymatic digestion of tissues due to proteolytic enzymes of amoeba.
