आमच्या शेजारी एक भारतीय नौदलातून निवृत्त झालेले अधिकारी रहातात.त्यांच्या मुलीला चेहेर्‍यावर एक तांबडाबुंद मोठाच्या मोठा डाग होता.तिला काय झाले आहे हे मला पहिल्या वर्षांचा विद्यार्थी असताना कळत नव्हते. पण द्वितीय वर्षाला असताना डर्म्याटाॅलाॅजीचा एक अॅटलास लक्ष्मीरोडवरील जुन्या पुस्तक विक्री केंद्रावर सापडला व त्यामुळे डर्म्याटाॅलाॅजीची गोडी लागली.डर्म्याटाॅलाॅजीचे एक बरे असते. पहा आणि ओळखा.पेशंटचा इतिहास घ्यायला नको का कुठलेही इन्व्हेस्टिगेशन करायला नको.या मुली सारखीच एक केस डर्म्याटाॅलाॅजी OPD ला आली होती व मी अनवधानाने पटकन ओरडलो.अरे ! तो पहा "Portwine stain" ! डी.जे.पाटील सरांनी चमकून माझ्याकडे पाहिले व विचारले की "Portwine" म्हणजे काय ते सांग.ते कुठे तेव्हा सांगता येत होते ! पण आता सांगतो.
