सुवर्णमहोत्सवी स्नेहसंमेलनानिमित्त आयोजित केलेल्या परस्पर परीचय मेळाव्यात "MEDICAL FRIENDSHIP" हा विषय आवर्जून निघाला.त्याविषयी आज थोडे लिहितो. But you need to be a "medico" to realise the depth of this unique relationship! वाचा.

1."Medical Friendship" is unique like no other.

2.Medical Friendship is for life long. Every where !!

3.Since medical College life of 5 years is one of the toughest to navigate, friendships formed during these formative years remain for life.

4."Dissection Hall friendships" are unique and unbreakable.

5.Later amongst enormous load of studies, ward duties, living with each other for 5 years in ups and downs forms a bond which no other profession can boast off....! You learn to go through good and bad phases of your medical life with the support of these friends. They know you through your lowest point!!

6.Also the special thing about medical friendship is it, being "unisex", means both boys and girls are your equal friends…!!Medical studies and life does not differentiate between sexes. A male and a female can be a great medical friend !! And this medical friendship can be tested in later part of life.

7.Once a batchmate, always a batchmate aka medical friend.

8.And when you meet them after 25yrs, 50 years, 60 years or so in your silver jubilee, golden Jubilee , Diamond Jubilee etc… you meet them at the same level as you were in college.

9.No matter one is a GP or Consultant,you still use expletives for them and open your hearts and hug them without comparing.

10.You get rejuvinated after meeting them and it is most cathartic for you.
